ONE Mas Band - Payment, Returns & Refund Policy

1. OVERVIEW
This policy applies to all purchases made through the ONE Mas Band website and MasOS Portal.
Due to the custom-made nature of our costumes and all items being produced to individual order specifications, all sales are final.
By completing registration or purchase, you agree to this Payment, Returns & Refund Policy together with our Terms of Service and Masquerader Waiver.
2. PAYMENTS
Accepted Methods:
All payments must be made directly through your ONE MasOS account using one of the following:

Visa or Mastercard

Klarna
-
Afterpay / Clearpay
All transactions are processed in GBP (£). For international customers, your bank may apply conversion or processing fees.
Deposits & Pre-Registration:

A £150 non-refundable pre-registration payment is required to secure your place in ONE Mas Band for Notting Hill Carnival 2026 (subject to availability).

This amount will be automatically deducted from your total costume package when you complete full registration.

Your registration is only confirmed once the deposit is received in full by the advertised due date.
Balance Payments:

The remaining costume balance must be paid in full on or before your designated collection date.

Costumes will not be released until full payment is confirmed.

Cheques are not accepted as a form of payment.
Chargebacks & Disputes:
By submitting payment, you agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes with your financial institution except in cases of verified fraud or processing error.
Any issues should first be raised with our team at hello@onemasband.com so that we can resolve them promptly.
3. RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Due to the bespoke nature of carnival costumes:

Returns, exchanges, and cancellations are not permitted.

Measurements and selections are final once your order is submitted.

Section or design changes are permitted only up to 31 May 2026, subject to availability and written approval from ONE Mas Band. After this date, all selections are final and cannot be modified.
4. REFUNDS
General Rule
All payments — including pre-registration, deposits, and balances — are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where required by law.
Official Resale Marketplace Exception
If your paid-in-full costume is successfully resold through the ONE Mas Band Official Resale Marketplace, you will receive a refund of all monies paid, including your pre-registration payment, once the resale is complete and verified.
Private or unapproved resales are not recognised and may result in forfeiture of both costume and payments.
Event Cancellations
In the unlikely event that ONE Mas Band must cancel its participation in Notting Hill Carnival 2026 due to circumstances beyond our control (such as force-majeure or event cancellation by organisers), all monies paid will be rolled over to the rescheduled Notting Hill Carnival date.
Such remedies will be at the sole discretion of ONE Mas Band and in accordance with UK law.
5. COLLECTION & OWNERSHIP

Costumes remain the property of ONE Mas Band until paid in full and collected.

All costumes must be collected in person during the official distribution period.

Failure to collect by the final collection date, without approved written arrangements, will result in forfeiture of the costume and all monies paid.

ONE Mas Band reserves the right to resell, repurpose, or dispose of any uncollected costumes after the collection window closes.

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
